LUIQ GmbH is a young (eCommerce) trading company from Munich that went live in 2021 with the first products on Amazon and eBay. The concept is based on classic FBA and increasingly focuses on brand building with its own content. In order to keep the workload calculable and to save resources that are already scarce, managing director Luise Hüttenbrink depends on outsourcing capacities and competencies. It is important to find partners in all areas with whom, on the one hand, small quantities can be implemented, but also growth phases can be easily mapped. LUIQ uses the Doopic platform right from the start to process product images of self-produced content.

Doopic platform

The Doopic platform makes it possible to edit product images for marketplaces such as Amazon or eBay without much previous knowledge. LUIQ just has to upload the product images, select Amazon-ready as the default setting and complete the order. If you want to retouch the images in addition, you can simply add the full range of options from surface retouching to shadows or reflections for cent prices. This allows you to tick off two topics at once. On the one hand, no additional time has to be invested in developing marketplace specifics, and on the other hand, the risk of not being able to go live due to incorrect processing is minimized.

Amazon product image requirements

- The product must fill at least 85% of the image area

- For the zoom function to work optimally on the detail pages, the files on the longest side must be at least 1600 pixels in size. If this requirement is not met, files must be at least 1000 pixels in size to zoom and files for the website must be at least 500 pixels in size.

- Images must be no larger than 10,000 pixels on the longest side.

- Images must be in JPEG (.jpg oder.jpeg), TIFF (.tif), PNG (.png) or GIF (.gif) formats. The best practice is JPEG.

- The images must not be blurry, pixelated, or have jagged edges. Main images must have a pure white background (pure white harmonizes with search results and product detail pages on Amazon, RGB color values: 255, 255, 255)

From 0 to 10,000 at any time

In contrast to most service providers, Doopic's service is not bound to minimum quantities. The tool is designed in such a way that small quantities in the one or two-digit range are displayed just as well as large quantities. Although there is a small minimum order value, you can reach it with just a few images. In addition, all marketplaces that LUIQ wants to tackle in the medium term are available as presets, so you don't have to worry about future quantities or future requirements. With Doopic, LUIQ has therefore found a solution that works from day one and can represent the entire area of product image processing even at maximum scale. No own capacities are tied up and running costs are also not generated. Perfect for a worry-free start.

Quality assurance

LUIQ, of course, does not yet have its own key account manager for the current quantities, but the process always includes incoming image inspection and final quality control by the Doopic support team. This allows LUIQ to ensure that errors caused by errors in ordering options are prevented and that requests for corrections are virtually ruled out in retrospect. Should there be something to correct, that is of course no problem.
